Strategise for Success : Proficiency Tests

Purpose of this course
A 10-hour intensive course to introduce and practice learning strategies and skills for a standardised proficiency test such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, etc. The course is created to help with standardised tests, but you can use these skills for general language learning as well.
Course Overview
- CREATE - Create a language learning plan.
- APPLY - Apply multiple vocabulary building strategies.
- WRITE - Write a summary.
- USE - Use notetaking effectively.
- APPLY - Apply reading comprehension strategies.
- WRITE - Organise and write a paragraph.
- WRITE AN ESSAY - Organize and write an essay.
- LISTEN - Listen for details
- ORGANISE - Organise and link your ideas in speaking activities.
- RESPOND - Respond in different types of speaking tasks.
How it works?
This course is built up with 10 online live sessions with a experienced trainer.
These sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5pm (GMT) London time.
Each session is independent and the course is running continously in a cycle. If you miss one of the sessions you can catch it in the upcoming cycle.
Because the sessions are independent, you can start on any Monday or Wednesday.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for our Strategise for Success: Proficiency Tests mini course. However, it's recommended that your English level should be at least A2+/B1
Regarding the other requirements, you will need access to:
- a reliable internet connection
- a laptop or smartphone with a webcam and audio capabilities

As for physical schools, she has worked in Turkey and Malaysia, largely dealing with adult learners wanting to improve for business or personal reasons. As regards online schools, she has worked with students all over the world from the ages of four to sixty. And now with British English Board! With such a varied background, Jocelyn has an aptitude to remain flexible, ensuring that each student’s learning style and abilities are addressed. In addition, Jocelyn is an avid traveller and a language learner herself. In fact, her interest in learning about different cultures is what brought her to language teaching. Thus, she can understand the difficulties that language learners face and is well equipped to help.Certification
